If you haven’t figured it out I enjoy playing oddball decks that focus on 1 or 2 objectives

One thing I enjoyed doing during the Store Championship season was focusing one Bounty Hunter and making a deck around them . At first I took Boba and came up with a few ideas. Then I went with a deck around IG-88. I liked this one and will share it another time. The one I settled on for the last 2 store championships and other tournaments was one around the Great Trandoshan Bossk.

Bossk enters play you could focus him down  and can capture an exhausted unit ( draw two card if said unit is a Wookie) . This is good , the problem is he is not an elite character. He also cost me four resources, this is probably why he gets over looked. So how do I make the most of  a character who is best utilized by entering play?  Well thanks to the mighty Jabba and a furry companion I think I have a way of utilizing this ability.

Affiliation : Scum

1x Mercenary Support ( Pay 1 to put mercenary or BH into play, Yes please )

1x  Jabbas Reach  ( I  love twist of fate)

2x Trandoshan Terror ( Bossk  and heat of battles)

2x The Hunters ( Everything rewards  enters play abilities )

2x Tattooine Crash ( Random Capture, and the Sandcrawler)

2x Slimiest Scheme ( Focus the objective return a Scum unit to my hand pair this with Mercenary Support)

So lets break it down. The best objective flop is Mercenary Support , Slimy scheme and Hunters.  If  you get his rolling you have some potential on turn two. Turn 1 your hoping to put down jawas, Boussh or some 2 drop guys to hold the force. Boussh is the preferred option. He can stay committed to the force and do nothing until absolutely necessary. Don’t risk him though, let him sit around and let his ability work for you.

Turn two you want to see a Bossk or a Snoova. But pay 1 with Merc support play  snoova to capture a unit or pay four for a  Bossk, raise the dial by 1 ( thanks B.)  then use  a better offer or Slimy Scheme to return it to your hand. and play another unit . This is how the deck plays out most of the time. You have units to capture, units to heal and units to remove focus tokens. You have a lot of ways to manipulate the play area.

One of the best Event cards happens to be Chain Reaction. Great in a edge battle better when a unit comes into play.  Bossk enters play to capture another unit. Snoova enters and a similar thing. Maybe the light side has some crazy reaction you want to mimic wouldn’t it be nice to pay 1 and do so? One of my favorite experiences was having Boussh on the field and putting Snoova into play for 1 . He captures a Nudj, Reactions are triggered. Boussh raises the dial 1, Nudj Raises it 1 and I play two Chain Reactions on the Nudjs Forced reaction, raising the dial a total of four. That means the dial could have gone up 6  if  the force was with the Dark Side. The reaction on my opponents face was one to remember.

This deck can be  SLOW, and needs  some pieces to work efficiently. If you come up on a bad flop its normally  2 hunters and a crash or 2 crash and a hunters and then its just a random scum deck that will take the light side some time to destroy.  But you have some tricks, one like Hunters and Crash no one likes losing cards every turn this works to your advantage. Along side some 3 cost units that heal your objectives and have 3 health  to help you defend.

All in all this a Fun Deck  and if your fan of Scum decks I hope you give it a try.Unfortunately this deck has not won me any tournaments just top four in a few Store Championships. It’s just a slower deck so I never recommend playing it at the start of a match.

Maybe you have some better ideas to help our Lizard friend. Yes I know he shouldn’t be working with a wookie, but find me a better solution.
